 How and when should I move Beau to a big boy bed?Beau is fast approaching four. I’m embarrassed to say he is still in his crib (don’t judge). He loves it! He is potty trained but I still use pull ups (I know, I know, “still using pull ups”) that’s next week question but for today I am asking ALL you moms out there “how and when should I move Beau to a big boy bed”?

When does he turn 4? Do it for his big 4th birthday! You could remodel his room into a "Big boy room" with his new big boy bed! We surprised our daughter and re-did a new room for her across the hallway that was empty. We worked on it at night while she was asleep. When we were done, we told her we had a surprise for her and opened the door to her new room....complete with new paint, drapes, bed and bedding. We told her it was her new big girl room. The first few nights she wanted to sleep back

Hi Kim! While there's no surefire way to do this, or any other "how to" for children, I think my son and daughter-in-law had a good idea for Hannah. They chose a date on the calendar (could be his birthday) and every day they let her make a 'x" on the calendar towards the day she would be big enough for the big bed. By the time that day arrived she had been "practicing" by taking a pretend nap each day on the big bed. It worked out great and I hope whatever plan you choose works too! Can't
